We’re a company based in Byron Bay that works to hook backpackers up with farm work that can get them their second year working visa. We believe that travellers should be able to enjoy their work and the place they're working. irements and still live the dream in paradise! WHAT WE DO
We provide a Farm Induction Course at Byron Bay Harvest organic farm in the heart of Byron Bay that gives travellers the farming skills they need to work safely and competently on a farm. After completing the course, travellers have adequate experience to be given a farm work placement, which we guarantee to get them within 28 days. Placements suit individual personalities and skill sets. Once employed, all each worker has to do is use the skills they've learned to make sure they are meeting the farmer's expectations, and after 88 days they will have fulfilled their second year visa requirements, having never left the coast. WHY WE DO IT
First and foremost, our loyalties lie with the backpackers we train and send off for jobs, so we are doing it for them. We believe farm work can be educative, enjoyable and inspiring and this is the experience we want everyone who takes the farm induction course to have. By getting upskilled through our course travellers have the know how to perform well on a farm, as well as knowledge to take home and implement in their own backyard! We also love the areas we send backpackers off to, and want to share the wealth of beauty here with everyone. We only send travellers to places we either live in, or would live in, so that they make the most of all their time in this beautiful country. Also, we have the utmost respect for the farmers that put food on our tables and we recognise their need for good workers. We want to provide these farmers with skilled, competent and safety conscious workers. Making their lives easier so that they can provide a positive working environment and overall experience for the backpackers we send them. The Farm Induction Course is ran by Byron Bay Harvest and starts every Sunday, placements are limited and the duration of the course is 14 days. You will need to bring appropriate clothes, footwear, a hat and sunscreen. English Language proficiency required. Paying for the $1620 course gets you
• A Byron Bay orientation tour before starting the course
• Guaranteed farm work placement at either Byron Bay or Coffs Harbour within 28 days of completing the Farm Induction Course
• Lunch and refreshments Monday to Friday
• 14 Days Accommodation at The Arts Factory
