There is something powerful about seeing confidence grow.

Kira is currently working as a Traffic Controller on a Melbourne social housing project, and through secure full-time employment, she has built stability, independence and a real sense of belonging.

Recently, Kira purchased her first brand-new car. A milestone that represents more than just a vehicle. It reflects consistency, hard work and the opportunity that meaningful employment can create.

When First Nations women are supported into long-term roles, the impact extends far beyond the job. It strengthens families, builds confidence and opens doors for others to follow.

We are incredibly proud of Kira and the example she continues to set 🧡

We’re proud to share that Yurringa is now ISO certified across three internationally recognised standards:

✔️ ISO 9001 – Quality Management

✔️ ISO 14001 – Environmental Management

✔️ ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety

This milestone reflects our commitment to doing things the right way — with strong systems, accountability and continuous improvement across everything we deliver.

For us, it’s about more than compliance. It’s about showing that First Nations businesses can lead with strength, capability and high standards across the industry.

These certifications support safer workplaces, better environmental outcomes and quality delivery for our clients and communities.

As we continue to grow, we remain focused on building a business grounded in reliability, integrity and long-term impact.

If you're looking to partner with a capable and accredited First Nations business — we’d welcome the opportunity.

Give us a go.

Two weeks ago, the Yurringa team attended the Supply Nation Trade Fair 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

During the event, we ran a real-time give back initiative supporting the Gowola Homework Club, delivered through the Rumbalara Football Netball Club .

RFNC is an Aboriginal-owned and led community hub where culture, connection and community are at the centre. Through the Gowola Homework Club, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students receive tutoring, mentorship and access to learning resources in a culturally safe environment.

For every visitor who registered their interest in Yurringa’s First Nations Labour Hire and Traffic Management services, Yurringa committed to donating $5 to support the program.

We’re proud to share that $1,050 has been raised so far, with fundraising continuing throughout the month to further support the Gowola Homework Club and its work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Supporting RFNC is also personal for Yurringa. Our founder Daniel Briggs, a proud Yorta Yorta man, has strong family ties to the Club.

It was also great to welcome Senator Jana Stewart to the Yurringa stand on the day.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported the initiative.

Creating Opportunities. Building Brotherhood.

At Yurringa MC, we believe that real change happens on the ground, where opportunities are created, confidence is built, and our people lift each other up.

We’re proud to share that Joven Close has recently stepped onto his first construction site at the Hampton Park Social Housing project with Barpa, marking the beginning of his journey in the construction industry.

What makes this story even more special is that Joven has been able to link up with Ben Gosling, who we’ve on-hired to Icon on the same site. The two young First Nations men have connected naturally, with Benny showing true leadership, guiding Joven through the ropes and helping him navigate the early days of site life.

This is the Yurringa MC culture in action: a culture of brotherhood, mentorship, and collective success.

We’re more than a labour hire company; we’re a network of support, pride and purpose, helping our mob step forward with confidence in every role and on every site.

Walking the Walk: Partnering with First Nations Businesses

At Yurringa MC, we believe real change happens when procurement decisions drive impact. That’s why we’re committed to partnering with First Nations-owned businesses across our supply chain, strengthening communities while delivering quality outcomes for our clients.

We are proud to partner with Countryman Safety.

Founded and led by Lawrence Hillary, a proud Yamatji man, Countryman Safety is a majority-owned First Nations PPE and safety supplier. Backed by over 30 years of industry capability through their partner Safeman, Countryman Safety is building a reputation as a trusted national provider of safety gear and workwear.

For Yurringa MC, this means every worker we place on site is equipped with high-quality, industry-compliant PPE while our spend directly supports a First Nations business that shares our vision for community-led success.

This partnership isn’t just about protective clothing, it’s about investing in futures, creating pathways for Aboriginal people, and showing how First Nations businesses are leading the way in safety, service, and social impact.

By sourcing through organisations like Supply Nation and partnering with businesses like Countryman Safety, we’re embedding cultural respect and economic empowerment into everything we do.

This is what it means to walk the walk.

Meet Brad! A proud Kurnai man with strong ties to the Western District, Brad grew up in Gippsland and now calls Yorta Yorta Country home.

When he’s not drumming with The Deans of Soul, Brad is deeply committed to supporting his community through employment and justice initiatives. With experience delivering programs like Jobs Victoria, he brings passion, insight, and cultural strength to everything he does.

At Yurringa MC, Brad plays a key role in delivering end-to-end support for our First Nations workers — from onboarding and mentoring to training and long-term career development.

He’s here to ensure our workforce doesn’t just show up — they thrive.

Welcome, Brad. We’re lucky to have you on the team!
