The Safety Institute of Australia’s Young Safety Professionals Network (YSP) is a networking forum for safety professionals in their 20's & 30's or those new to the industry. The network aims to provide you with opportunities to connect, engage and develop in the safety profession. We'll do this by sharing insights and lessons learnt from our own careers, and encourage you to share your questions
and career learnings with others. We are committed to creating a network of young people passionate about safety, and making a positive contribution to industry as future leaders in this space. The YSP run regular meet-ups to help generate a support network through the sharing of issues, ideas and achievements. These meet-ups have grown organically and are member-run in local areas across Australia. YSP Queensland has developed the R3 Streams. The structure provides you with different types of networking, knowledge sharing and thought-provoking events, offering you a variety of choices to be involved in an industry-based network in a way that suits you and your budget. Simply join us for a drink or get a bit more serious with some exchange of tacit knowledge! RECONNECT: Complementary Social Networking events for good people, good wine and good conversation. Reconnect is about connecting and reconnecting with your fellow peers and colleagues in facilitated roundtable or general discussions. Events are casual with buy your own drinks and food. RECHARGE: Complementary or Ticketed Professional Development events. Recharge is about learning from experts, enhancing yourself and collaborating with peers in the network. Events are held in seated venues with light refreshments provided by the venue or sponsors. Future events may include Webinar or Live Streaming. SIA Student Membership is free entry, other students – half price. RETHINK: Ticketed Thought Leadership events with special guest speakers. The premiere rethink event is YSPspeak. Rethink is about presenting the best of the best to provoke thoughts, ideas and inspiration. Events are sponsored and held in seated venues with refreshments provided.
