What is the Pacific Labour Scheme?
The Pacific Labour Scheme is an initiative by the Australian Government in association with various nations within the Pacific. The PLS commenced on 1 July 2018 and enables citizens from selected Pacific countries to commence employment in rural and regional Australia for up to three years!
The scheme complements the existing Seasonal Worker Programme (SWP) which enables citizens of partner countries to take up seasonal, low, and semi skilled work opportunities in rural and regional Australia with no limit to the number of seasons.
