Strong operations start with the right people in the right roles. That’s why we place leaders like John Sandona into key roles where they can make a real impact.

John recently joined Cook Colliery as Underground Mining Manager, bringing over three decades of mining experience. Starting his career as a trainee, he’s worked his way through the ranks to lead both underground and surface operations across NSW and Queensland.

He’s managed everything from daily operations to the design and construction of new underground coal projects, taking them from concept all the way through to first coal. John balances life on site with time at home with his family, bringing both expertise and perspective to every decision.

By connecting experienced leaders like John with mining projects across Australia, Core Crew helps build high-performing teams and stronger operations.

Led by Josh, and with the support of Belinda and Trix, they play a vital role in ensuring sure all of our maintenance activities on site are planned, resourced, and ready be delivered each shift.

Josh draws on extensive experience across transport, logistics, mining maintenance planning, and warehousing. His leadership ensures planning and warehouse functions work hand in hand to keep the operation moving.

Belinda brings deep expertise in work management, business improvement, and process systems, with a strong focus supporting team success.
