Anaesthetic nurse or scrub scout nurse? In Queensland full time adverts, both roles show $84,000 to $108,000. In Western Australia part time adverts, anaesthetic is $48 to $53 an hour and scrub scout is $45 to $50 an hour.

The pay is closer than most people expect, and the work is very different.

One Queensland role is advertised at up to $73 an hour plus 12% super and asks for a minimum of 5 years' operating theatre experience. An ACT position description asks for 3 years in a perioperative environment or similar nursing role.

Scrub scout nurse pay, Queensland.

The live Queensland scrub scout nurse roles we are recruiting for right now list $84,000 to $108,000 a year for salaried positions, and $50 to $55.75 an hour for hourly positions.

They cover day surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology and general surgery.
