SUMO plants 84 trees to help protect Mt. Kulis, Rizal

SUMO visited Sitio Maysawa, Cuyambao, Tanay, Rizal in the Philippines for the ‘Leaf A Mark’ Tree Planting activity.

The team hiked Mt. Kulis, a popular hiking spot in Rizal famous for its ‘sea of clouds’ view, to plant trees as a way to help protect and rebuild the mountain trees.

The area is starting to show signs of environmental degradation such as trail erosion and waste accumulation due to the steady influx of hikers.

As part of SUMO’s corporate social responsibility efforts, Leaf A Mark, not only aims to give back to the environment but to the community of Sitio Maysawa, as well.

The activity also provided an avenue for SUMO employees to widen their perspectives to a larger value and purpose beyond the desk.
