HMG is seeking a rotational 3rd Engineer to join a well oiled and happy Engineering team on a 70m+ motor yacht.
The Yacht is high-profile and an extremely well run program with a true world cruising itinerary.
They are seeking a hard-working and enthusiastic engineer who wants to learn. The Yacht is a great place to learn your craft, it is VERY hands on and unlike most motor yachts.
Trade background is desirable, AEC 1&2 is an absolute must. Chiefs are looking for someone with a true passion for Engineering, you will gain skills on this vessel that you simply wouldn't on others. Hobbies that reflect that are highly regarded.
Purely private with a itinerary planned for the next 12 months, the cabin is shared. Salary is 3700 Euro x 12 and rotation is 2:1.
Joining in the South Pacific, you will hit the ground running and help maintain the vessel to her current very high standards. Good knowledge of tools and their uses, basic practices and a safe approach to work all required.

We are seeking an exceptional 2nd Engineer to join the engineering department aboard a prestigious 74-metre luxury superyacht. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented, hands-on engineer who thrives in a dynamic, high-end environment and is passionate about keeping complex marine systems performing at their absolute best.
About the Yacht
Pedigree Build, extremely well-maintained. MTU main engines, MTU gens, H&H Aircon, Quantum Stabs, Voith stern thruster, Brunvoll CPP Bow Thruster, HMSA MSD 3 stage biological.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily operation and maintenance of the vessel’s main engines, generators, auxiliary machinery, and electrical systems
• Strong focus on both mechanical and electrical systems – including hydraulics, HVAC, water makers, sewage treatment, fuel systems, switchboards, and automation
• Planned maintenance schedules, condition monitoring, and record keeping to the highest standards
• Troubleshooting and fault-finding under pressure with minimal downtime
• Support with dry-docking, refit projects, and technical upgrades
• Ensuring full compliance with flag state, class, and ISM requirements
• Mentoring junior engineers and working closely with the deck department when required
Requirements
• Strong mechanical and electrical/AVIT background essential
• Trade qualification (e.g., Fitter, Machinist, Electrician, or equivalent) highly preferred
• Relevant marine engineering qualifications (Y3/ 2nd Engineer Unlimited or higher
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as 2nd Engineer or senior engineer on motor yachts (70m+ experience advantageous)
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a small, elite team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Valid STCW, ENG1 Medical, and appropriate flag-state documents
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for engineering excellence

HMG is seeking two hands-on, proactive Marine Engineers (Y3 level or above) for a 39m commercially registered charter motor yacht operating in Australian and South Pacific waters.
Applicants based in Australia, New Zealand, or SE Asia will be given priority.
The Yacht
• Refitted 2023
• MTU main engines, Kohler generators (rebuilt 2022)
• NAIAD stabilisers, Hamman AG sewage, Condair A/C
Solid shore-side support and maintenance funding provided.
Position Details
• Rotation: 10 weeks on / 10 weeks off
• Salary: Up to $150,000 AUD per year (€7,500/month equivalent) + charter tips
• Flights: Included
• Accommodation: Shared cabin in service, single cabin when not operating (most of the time)

A beautifully maintained 50m private classic ketch, launched in January 2020 and commissioned in August 2020. The vessel operates a dynamic cruising schedule:
• Caribbean / Trans-Atlantic crossings
• Mediterranean (early summer)

This is a high-standard, well-run program with excellent crew longevity and a tight-knit team culture. The owner is an experienced and passionate sailor with a genuine interest in engineering and vessel systems, and values excellence delivered with personality — not ego.

The Role
We are seeking a Rotational Engineer to take full responsibility for the technical operation and upkeep of the vessel, while actively contributing to sailing and deck operations.
Core Responsibilities
• Engine room management and preventative maintenance (oil changes, filters, servicing pumps/motors etc.)
• General engineering upkeep (major mechanical works outsourced where required)
• High-level electrical, IT and network management (essential)
• Maintain and manage vessel maintenance systems (IDEA)
• Contractor and yard management
• Train and mentor 2nd Engineer and deck/bosun in basic engine room repairs and vessel operations
• Assist on deck, safety drills and actively participate in sailing operations
• Support crew as required during busy guest periods

Technical Requirements
Engineering & Mechanical
• MEOL minimum (SV 2nd Engineer preferred)
• Strong general engineering skills
• Good knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC systems (MAVE)
• Excellent understanding of sailing systems, including:
o Hydraulics & components
o Hydraulic controls / valve blocks
o Captive and deck winches
Electrical, IT & Communications (Essential)
The vessel requires a technically strong candidate with proven experience in:
• Advanced networking
• Virtual Machines
• Routers / Firewalls / QoS
• VPN configuration
• Media integration systems (RTI)
• Communication platforms: VSAT, Starlink, PepWave
• Working closely with ISP providers on network management and security
Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, spreadsheets and database management required.

The yacht operates on a collaborative philosophy:
“No one is done until the last one is done.”

The owner values people who are responsible self-starters. Management style is hands-off — no micromanagement — but high standards are expected.
Longevity and commitment are extremely important. The program has strong, long-standing relationships with shipyards, suppliers and contractors, and the successful candidate must maintain and strengthen these professional relationships.
