HMG is recruiting an experienced, hands-on Y3 Chief Engineer for a modern, 2024-built 54m motor yacht operating an exciting worldwide cruising program. The yacht operates a relaxed, adventurous program, exploring off-the-beaten-track destinations and remote cruising grounds.
The Captain is looking for a self-motivated, technically capable Chief Engineer who takes ownership of the engineering department, has excellent all-round practical skills and is particularly strong in electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding.
There is already a very capable 2nd Engineer onboard.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Y3 Chief Engineer qualification or higher.
• Proven engineering experience on similar-sized motor yachts.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities are essential.
• Excellent all-round mechanical and technical knowledge.
• A genuinely hands-on Engineer who can diagnose and resolve problems rather than simply call contractors.
• A proactive self-starter with strong preventative maintenance and organisational skills.
• Comfortable operating in remote cruising areas where shoreside assistance may be limited.
• Able to work collaboratively with, lead and support an already capable 2nd Engineer.
• Excellent maintenance records, planning and engineering department management.
• Easy-going, adaptable personality suited to a relaxed but professional crew environment.
• Schengen visa where required.
• Proven longevity and excellent, verifiable references.
PACKAGE & CONDITIONS
• Salary: USD $10,500 per month — negotiable for the right candidate.
• Leave: 60 days annually.

Itinerary: Florida / Bahamas/Caribbean/Costa Rica/Mexico

Temporary 1-Month Relief Sole Engineer – 35m Expedition Motor Yacht (France)
Y4 minimum required.
This is a short-term relief role for approximately one month while the yacht is in France.
Yacht details
• 35m Expedition Motor Yacht

Chief Engineer – 40m+ Private Motor Yacht - Y4 or EOOW
Urgent Start – Ideal within 1–2 weeks
We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a well-run, fishing-focused private program as soon as possible.
The Opportunity
The Yacht is just completing its Alaska season and would strongly prefer the successful candidate to join for the transit south. This will allow a proper, extended handover with the outgoing Chief during the voyage to Mexico.
If joining for the transit is not possible, we can arrange for the new Chief to join in Ensenada at the start of a planned three-week yard period.
Other Chief needs to leave before end of the month due to family commitments and the Engineer wo was supposed to take on the rotation had to withdraw at the last moment, hence the short notice.

Program
This is a private, fishing-oriented program. We are looking for someone who is comfortable and enthusiastic about working within an active fishing environment.

• Comfortable working as part of a small, professional team on a private yacht
Terms

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on rotational Chief Engineer for a well-maintained 50m Motor Yacht operating under charter and private use.
Key Requirements/Information
• Y3 (or equivalent) minimum qualification

• Proven competence with Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS) – Seahub preferred
• Ability to manage and adapt to unplanned breakdowns calmly and effectively
• Organised, stable, hard-working, clean habits and a positive team attitude

• Generators: 3 × Northern Lights (2 × 99 kW + 1 × 65 kW)

A major yard period is scheduled at Orams, New Zealand, involving generator rebuilds and significant main engine work. Following the yard period the yacht will relocate to the Mediterranean for the next season.

Rotational 2nd Engineer – 65m Private Motor Yacht | Global/SE Asia

HMG is seeking an experienced Rotational 2nd Engineer to join a 65m private motor yacht.

This role offers an 8 weeks on / 8 weeks off rotation, a shared cabin, and a salary of 7000 Euro per month. The yacht operates to a high standard and is looking for a reliable, long-term team member.

We are seeking a hands-on, professional 2nd Engineer with proven yacht experience who can integrate well into an established engineering department. Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of two year’s sea time on yachts, with preference given to those from commercial or trade backgrounds. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility to adapt to changing works schedules and a commitment to completing tasks to a high standard. Solid work ethic and a personable and team orientated Engineer required.

Minimum Requirements & Preferences:

* EOOW Unlimited or Y3

* Preferred 2 year’s sea time on a yacht

* Commercial or trade background preferred

* Full driver’s licence required (candidates must be 25+ for rental purposes)

* Excellent references and proven longevity (no yacht/job hoppers)

The position will join in Europe in August, and then embark on her cruise to her new home in SE Asia. You must be comfortable with being on a yacht in Asia.

HMG is seeking a rotational 3rd Engineer to join a well oiled and happy Engineering team on a 70m+ motor yacht.
The Yacht is high-profile and an extremely well run program with a true world cruising itinerary.
They are seeking a hard-working and enthusiastic engineer who wants to learn. The Yacht is a great place to learn your craft, it is VERY hands on and unlike most motor yachts.
Trade background is desirable, AEC 1&2 is an absolute must. Chiefs are looking for someone with a true passion for Engineering, you will gain skills on this vessel that you simply wouldn't on others. Hobbies that reflect that are highly regarded.
Purely private with a itinerary planned for the next 12 months, the cabin is shared. Salary is 3700 Euro x 12 and rotation is 2:1.
