A couple of weeks back saw eight teams take on a real challenge from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, with just 90 minutes to build and pitch a solution.

JDP were proud to be a community partner of the Gold Coast Design Thinking AI x Design Thinking Challenge, bringing the Gold Coast community together to turn good ideas into something the Sanctuary could actually use.

With just 0.4 points between first and second, the judges had their work cut out!

Brisbane Design Meetup has something special lined up to close out 2026!

Atlassian’s Chief Design Officer, Charlie Sutton, is joining the final event of the year for Past is Prologue: Design history and the AI present of our profession.

As AI changes how designers work, Charlie will take a look back at the profession’s history to help make sense of what’s happening now. What have previous shifts taught us? Which parts of our practice might change, and which are worth holding onto?

After the presentation, there’ll be an audience Q&A, giving everyone a chance to dig into the ideas and put their own questions to Charlie.

It should be a brilliant evening of big ideas, good conversation and familiar faces from Brisbane’s design community. If you work in design, collaborate with designers or are curious about what comes next, we’d love to see you there.

JDP are working with an established Australian digital marketing business looking for a Business Development Manager to join its growing sales team in East Melbourne.

You’ll own the sales cycle from prospecting through to close, speaking with business owners and selling solutions across SEO, websites, Google Ads, Meta Ads and more.

What’s in it for you?
- Uncapped commission with genuine $200K+ OTE potential
- Appointment setters generating opportunities
- Your own database and outbound channels
- A proven sales model, training and technical support
- Hybrid working, three days in the office and two from home

You’ll need at least two years of B2B new business sales experience, a track record selling to SMEs and the confidence to pick up the phone and ask for the sale. Digital marketing experience is a bonus, but it’s not essential.

JDP are working on a 12-month UX Designer contract where you’ll take the lead across research, design, prototyping and testing. You’ll work with Product, Delivery and Technical teams to improve digital experiences and help shape what gets built next.
