Experience:
Mikcon’s prominent position within the Civil Construction industry has been built on a foundation of experience and knowledge gained on some of Australia’s most
inciting projects:
•Great Western Highway Upgrade (Fulton Hogan). Mikcon successfully completed drainage on this project for Fulton Hogan
•Townsville City Council Northern Water Treatment Plant Project (Brookfield Multiplex). Mikcon installed pipeline for the treatment plant on this site for Brookfield Multiplex. This pipeline was routed through extreme gradients requiring strategic foresight and cautious undertaking.
•Canberra Franklin Estate Sub Division Stage 3B (BMD / ACTEW)
Mikcon was contracted to instate all drainage, sewer, pits and common trench for this 1,200 dwelling project.
•Uriarra Sewerage Treatment Plant (Tenix)
This project required Mikcon to undertake all works associated with installation of concrete tanks and relevant pipe works.
•Mardi to Mangrove Water Supply Pipe Line (John Hollands)
This intensive and challenging project seen Mikcon lay 2km of 1085 MSCL Tyco Water Pipeline. This pipe was routed through a significantly restricted environment amidst the Wyong Valley resulting in strict environmental responsibilities. In addition Mikcon was limited to a 10mtr corridor necessitating extensive planning and coordination of safety, material supply and production.
•Windsor Road Upgrade (Rouse Hill to Windsor) (Baulderstone Hornibrook). During construction of this 5km 2 lane motorway Mikcon installed cross culverts, carried out various bulk earth-works and supplied plant hire. In addition Mikcon was tasked with the unique challenge of relocating numerous reservoirs to limit the harmful effects on the local eco system.
•Bega By-Pass (McMahon’s). Mikcon was contracted to provide Bulk Earth Work Excavations to McMahons on the preparation and construction of the long awaited Bega By-Pass. In addition Mikcon was awarded associated drainage works on this project.
•Gas TRS (Booster Station) Albion Park, Gosford and Lane Cove (Clough Seam Gas / Jemena). Mikcon carried out all associated pipeline / pipework, civil, structural and instrumentation work required to complete this project.
•Wingecarribee Rising Sewer Main (Wingecarribee Council)
Mikcon installed 2km of rising sewer main which incorporated a directional bore underneath the Moss Vale to Unanderra railway line.
