It’s Women’s Health Week!
This year’s theme, “Do It Anyway”, challenges the messages women receive about what we can and cannot do.
For women and gender-diverse people with disability, these messages are often reinforced by inaccessible systems, discrimination and assumptions about our bodies, health and support needs.
“Do it anyway” shouldn’t mean pushing through pain, accepting poor support systems or overcoming barriers without support. It means having the freedom, access and support to make our own choices - on our own terms.
Throughout the week, WWDA and Jean Hailes for Women's Health Week will be sharing resources, stories and more to encourage our communities to ask for support, rest, or try something new - there is no wrong way to take part.
Today's topic is "to fuel" - find out more here: https://buff.ly/djTWn1g
