Coffin Creek Angus is a highly regarded Angus seedstock operation located near Mudgee, managing approximately 1,200-1,500 head of cattle across owned and leased country. The business is run by a young, progressive family team focused on continuous improvement and growth in seedstock cattle production, with a strong emphasis on low stress livestock handling and sustainable land management.

The Role
We are looking for a reliable and capable Station Hand to support day to day farm operations and help keep the business running smoothly. This is a hands on role with a strong focus on general farm maintenance and operational work, including:

• Fencing and infrastructure maintenance
• Tractor operation, spraying and pasture improvement
• General maintenance and repairs
• Livestock movements and cattle work
• Operating bikes, buggies and farm machinery

While the role is primarily operational, you will also gain exposure to the seedstock side of the business, including AI programs, embryo transfer work, bull sale preparation and stud management.

About You
• 2–3 years’ agricultural experience
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for your work
• Trustworthy, reliable, and self motivated
• Experience operating tractors and farm machinery
• Chemical accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
• Welding and fencing skills highly regarded

• Understanding of spray programs, compliance and record keeping

Operating across productive river flats, the business runs modern irrigation systems, a large-scale fodder program, and a quality cattle finishing enterprise.

The Role
Working closely with the Farm Manager, this is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to develop your skills in irrigation, hay production and modern farming systems. You’ll be involved in:
• Running centre pivot and hard hose irrigation systems
• Hay and silage production, from prep through to baling
• Operating modern machinery (John Deere fleet)
• Pasture work including spraying and sowing
• Supporting cattle finishing programs
• General maintenance of pumps, machinery, and infrastructure

About You
You’re practical, reliable, and enjoy working with machinery and on the land. Most importantly, you take pride in your work, want to be part of a good team, and have a genuine interest in learning more about irrigation, hay production, and modern farming systems.

Ideally, you’ll have:
• Some experience with irrigation and hay or silage production
• Confidence operating and maintaining machinery
• HR licence and ChemCert (or willingness to obtain)
