CBR Trading is looking for an experienced, MC-licensed Road Train Driver to join our family-owned team, based near Katherine in the Northern Territory. We’re located on a small property about 30 minutes from town.
You’ll mainly cart cattle for pastoral station clients, with some hay and flat-top work. The work can be flexible depending on your experience.

The role:
• Drive road trains in the Northern Territory and interstate.
• Complete loads for our customers, most of whom are pastoral stations.
• Follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Take responsibility for the truck, your load and your own safety.
• Use basic mechanical skills to manage issues when working remotely.
What we’re looking for
• An Australian-issued MC licence.

Running 12,000 Brahman cattle, the station operates as a finishing and backgrounding centre, with a broad range of cattle, machinery and general station operations. The station is part of a wider Northern Territory cattle operation that also includes Rosewood Station and Coomalie Holding Depot, providing exposure to different aspects of the cattle industry.

The Role
We’re looking for a capable, practical Leading Hand to help oversee the day-to-day running of the station. This is a varied, hands-on role covering cattle work, machinery operation, water systems and general station maintenance. You’ll coordinate daily work and take the lead when the manager is away, helping ensure the station’s operations run smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

Coomalie Holding Depot is a pre-export quarantine and livestock holding facility supporting cattle movements across northern Australia. We’re looking for an experienced cattle person to lead daily yard operations and work closely with management to keep the facility running safely and efficiently.

The Opportunity
Working at Coomalie offers something different from a traditional station role. You’ll handle cattle from a range of clients, work with different breeds and gain exposure to livestock movements through the export supply chain. It’s an opportunity to broaden your experience beyond a single station, develop your livestock handling skills and gain firsthand exposure to another part of the cattle industry.

The Role
Working closely with the manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Organising and leading a yard crew of five, increasing to eight during busy periods.
