There was plenty of tea, cake and community spirit at BGT today for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea

They hoped to raise $250, but thanks to the generosity of staff and supporters, the target is beaten and continues to grow - currently at $370!!!

That amount can help provide support for almost four people recently diagnosed with cancer — a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a real difference.

A huge shoutout to Deb, who pours her heart into organising this every single year. She’s incredibly passionate about supporting people impacted by cancer, and somehow always manages to rally everyone together to make sure the target is reached (and usually beaten).

Pretty proud of this little team today!

Not all career paths start in an office. Some start with goats.

We’ve got a full-time Agriculture Traineeship going on a local goat dairy farm just outside Ballarat.

Think early mornings, hands-on work, and learning the ropes properly: feeding, milking, and caring for livestock, all while working towards a Certificate III in Agriculture.

If you like being outdoors, staying active, and want something real to build on, this is a pretty solid place to start.

We recently hosted a group from , brought in by Troy Westblade as part of their school leaver program.

Alongside Adam Chandler from BUSY At Work , we had a chat about different apprenticeship and traineeship pathways — what’s out there, and what might actually suit.

Then it was out to see it in action.

Vincent at BGT’s gave the group a look into the barbering world — and it’s a standout program. The only barbering course in Ballarat, with a real shop feel, one-on-one support, and a level of professionalism that’s hard to miss.

We also heard from Adrian at BGT’s Industry Skills Centre, who spoke about boilermaking — a hands-on trade where you’re fabricating, welding and building things that actually last. It’s in demand, highly skilled work, and suits people who want to get stuck in and see the result of what they’ve made.

Different options, different directions — and a group that was genuinely engaged the whole way through.

Reid Davison has started .anz this week, continuing his apprenticeship with BGT while being hosted by one of Ballarat’s standout employers.

He’s already played a part in some of the region’s biggest projects — and now gets the chance to finish his apprenticeship with one of the world’s most recognisable brands, right here in Ballarat.

We’re looking forward to supporting Reid and the team at Mars over the next stage. Great things ahead Reid!
