Cultural Awareness Facilitator
Role Purpose
Develop, review, and deliver structured training on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and cultural safety. Facilitate engaging sessions that build participants’ cultural capability and foster respectful, inclusive workplaces.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver Indigenous Cultural Awareness programs.
• Deliver cultural inclusion training to foster respectful teams, reduce unconscious bias, and support Aboriginal employee retention.
• Promote cultural safety and respectful practice in all interactions.
• Engage participants in honest, reflective conversations.
• Deliver pre-employment training in soft skills, digital literacy, and job readiness.
• Work with Employment Mentors to reinforce learning beyond the training.
Employment Mentor
Role Purpose
Guide and support our clients to embed First Nations perspectives in everyday workplace practices. Provide one on one and small group mentoring that empowers individuals to overcome barriers, thrive in employment, and champion cultural inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
• Mentor individuals to identify pathways to wellbeing and sustainable employment.
• Identify barriers and connect mentees to appropriate support networks.
• Share cultural knowledge and lived experience to build understanding.
• Providing one-on-one support during pre-employment training, including personal development, financial literacy, digital skills, and job readiness.
• Support and/or co lead Indigenous cultural awareness activities with Facilitators.
