It was great to catch up with Siegfried Mends of Ajak & Associates yesterday to show him around the office and discuss opportunities for collaboration.

Ajak & Associates have a varied practice covering areas including criminal, commercial and migration. Not only is it inspiring to hear about their growth as a firm, but it's also great to find out about complementary services for our clients.

We look forward to working together in the future!

We were pleased to attend a wonderful fundraiser for Sliding Doors Foundation. The foundation provides scholarships for disadvantaged youth, to make sure that they are able to fulfil their potential and achieve their goals.

We couldn't agree more in the power of education and the benefit of everyone having the opportunity to reach their goals. We were also privileged to hear from some amazing guest speakers and young musicians.

Oh, and they had a pretty amazing dessert bar too 😍

Yesterday we attended an excellent seminar hosted by John Love (Mellor Olsson) and Andrew Wright (WK Lawyers) about restraint of trade clauses and probable law reform in this area.

These are clauses that try to prevent employees from working for others or soliciting clients after they leave employment. We are increasingly seeing these included as standard in employment contracts.

These clauses are often unenforceable and can cause considerable confusion for both employers and employees, so it is important to get good advice!

We were so thrilled to tour the offices of Community Corporate recently. Led by founder Carmen Garcia, Community Corporate works to promote diversity and inclusion by partnering with employers and creating holistic workforce solutions. We chatted about our shared values, including seeing workplaces and workers thrive in environments that value people and achieve together.

We are excited to work with Community Corporate in the future and to hear more about their achievements!

We were excited to show our old friend Sarah Sangau and her business partner Georgia McRae around the office and catch up to chat about our shared values.

Sarah and Georgia have recently launched their industrial relations firm + Sangau, to foster successful and inclusive workplaces.

Collaboration is a key part of what we do and we love hearing about other like-minded local businesses!

Georgia + Sarah were honoured to be invited by Zion Disability Services Inc. to speak as panellists on how workplaces can be more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities. The panel stressed the huge benefits that all of society can draw from more equitable workplaces.

Not only were we honoured to be amongst such a distinguished panel, but also inspired to hear from other speakers including founder Esther Simbi and human rights activist Erfanullah Abidi.

We were also treated to some amazing performances by many different groups including the multi-talented Tailored Holistic Care Adelaide. What an amazing night. Thank you for having us!

Our founder and partner, Sarah Sangau, was honoured to speak as part of the International Women's Day Panel hosted by PINAY BFF in Adelaide (Filipinos iConnect SA Inc.) and Maria Batnag. Sarah was joined by other inspiring speakers including Mrs Earth 2023, Irene Evangelista, founder of the Amazing Grace Foundation, Grace May, and FESSA principal Carmie Ricablanca-Duncan.

Sarah shared details about her own story to entrepreneurship, and paid tribute to all the women who are creating space at the table and blazing a path for others, and about how we can all live up to the theme of .
