Job Profile: Senior Planning Engineer

Requirements:
Qualification: Graduate Civil Engineer, Good Knowledge in PRIMAVERA 6 and MS PROJECT
Experience: Min 5- 10 years
Compensation: Competitive
Responsibilities:
• In the position of Senior Planning Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing and providing planning advice with regard to critical schedule milestones on a number of projects.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:
• Experience in both pre-construction (design / tender stage) & construction stages.
• Overseeing actual project progress versus the planned work milestones.
• Preparation of project planning & project budget in consultation with HO Team
• Implementation of project plan & ensuring logical sequencing of plan based on resources
• Plan resources, arrangement & allocation of resources as per the project plan
• Monitor construction schedules & highlight anticipated delays/deviancies in advance
• Prepare method statement & submit to clients/consultants for approval
• Prepare time cycle charts of major activities of work
• Generating milestones in the pre-construction stage for inclusion in tender documents via detailed discussions with the Design Manager, Design Team, and other participants.
• Monitoring, adjusting and updating the cost plan and cash flows and the consolidation of these results in weekly reports.
• Reviewing in conjunction with the Project Managers or Construction Managers any potential changes, and in turn measuring where possible future saving or additional costs can be identified.

Responsibilities:
• Prepares quality of work, visit all sites, prepare reports take necessary action update Management on quality related issues.
• Ensure implementation of awareness programs, training and internal audit concerning matters relating to the quality of company services in the sector, according to plans by the Department of Organizational Excellence.

• Preparation of management reports and submit them to the Director of Quality Assurance and services.
• Perform any other functions by the Director of the Department to ensure the quality of services.
• Prepare the BOQ.
• Prepare monthly interim valuation
• Cost and Value Monitoring and Reporting.
• Profit and Loss Reporting
• Variation cost analyst and submit the reports.
• Administration of commercial, Contractual and Sub-Contractual matters arising on the project including Valuations, Variations and Preparation of Payments.
• Sub-Contract tender, contractual award and financial management.
• All post-tender process for winning jobs including sub-contractor negotiation.
• Preparation of detailed work program and outline method of statement.
• Assisting contract manager in claims, variation orders, payment, budget, cost control, settlement, procurement and tendering works.

• Understanding drawings and joinery technical issues
• Visiting sites to gather information needed
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client

Qualification: Diploma or Any Graduate
Experience: 2-5 years experience, Experience in GCC is a must

Responsibilities:
• Managing Incoming, Outgoing Project documents and Keep track of all records.
• Locate and attach appropriate files to incoming correspondence requiring replies.
• Make copies of correspondence and other printed material
• Open, read, route, and distribute incoming mail and other material, and prepare answers to routine letters.
• Data Entries for DTS /MASS – (Document Transmittal Sheet) after comments of Client/Consultant
• Safely keeping the documents / drawings in the respective equipment wise files till the end of the project
• Maintaining hard copy and soft copy of the documents
• Ensuring the acknowledgement of documents/drawing transmittals from Client, Consultant and Sub Contractor
• Responsible for issuing Engineering Documents to Client through Electronic Data Management System
• Interacting with Consultant, Sub-Contractors, Site Offices, Suppliers and Manufacturers in connection with the documentation
Skills:
• Good Verbal and Written communication Skills, PPT and good knowledge of Application software’s.
• Customer service skills
