Chess Mirrors Life Art Competition

Chess Mirrors Life Art Competition Mhondoro Chess invited artists to an art competition aimed at expressing the relationship between the game of chess and real life.

Vote for the People's Choice Award!!
15 artists entered the 2024 Chess Mirrors Life Art Competition. They submitted a total of 21 original pieces in several themes. As part of the judging process, we will share their creations here.

We invite you all to go through the whole competition artwork album, read through the captions and like your favorites to help us pick the People's Choice. Voting closes on Saturday 8 Feb at 10am.

A like is a single vote. Online votes will be added to Festival votes and winners announced on that day.

A huge thank you to ZBC News Online for coming through and covering the Art and Chess Festival! The video perfectly captures the energy of the event, from exciting chess matches to inspiring art displays. We were thrilled to see interviews with our amazing organisers Fortune Courage Gandawa and Tafadzwa Munezvenyu, Chess Master Spencer Masango, and representatives from the Zimbabwe Chess Federation.
