Job Description
The MFC (Mass & Foundation Cluster), Business Change Ex*****on team is seeking an experienced, dynamic, energetic, and agile Business Analyst to join our team.

This role is responsible for analysing complex business processes, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing effective solutions. Proficient at gathering and documenting requirements, conducting data analysis and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives. Strong analytical and communication skills, with a focus on optimizing workflows and enhancing organizational efficiency. Skilled in stakeholder management and leveraging technology to achieve business objectives.
Understand and Translate Business Needs:
Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements and the envisioned product.
Translate gathered requirements into clearly defined business needs, effectively communicating these to team members to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Analyse the Business Domain:
Conduct comprehensive analysis of systems and processes - spanning from initial iterations to release phases.
Perform Impact Assessments to understand the impact to business
Collaborate closely with the business and development teams to grasp the initial initiative requirements, scope, and identify potential areas for automation within the initiative.
Determine Business Value
Collaborate with Business owners and relevant stakeholders to highlight business problems and needs, Key risks and dependencies, Scope of initiative, solution options and potential MVP, as well as the cost and benefit of initiatives.
Refine Backlog:
Transform requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria during the analysis phase.
Enable Initiative and Delivery Teams to Understand the Big Picture:
Facilitate discussions to enhance teams understanding of the initiative within the organisational strategy.
Facilitate discussions on process creation, elimination, or revision, stakeholder involvement, information tracking, and establishment of policies influencing business behaviour and decision making.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
Act as a liaison between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring continuous alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback on delivered features and incorporate suggestions for improvements.
Risk Identification and Mitigation:
Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks. Collaborate with teams to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Continuous Process Improvement:
Actively participate in retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Advocate for and implement process enhancements to optimize team efficiency and product quality.
Training and Knowledge Sharing:
Share best practices and lessons learned across teams and participate in Agile Forums and community of practice sessions in order to promote a culture of learning and improvement.
Key skill requirements:
Essential: Familiarity with both traditional and agile project methodologies, processes, tools and frameworks
Documents requirements including data modelling, interface layouts, data flows, screen and report layouts, etc.
Works closely with business stakeholders, project manager and delivery teams to design and implement solutions within constraints.
Owns systems, user acceptance testing and implementation of changes or new applications.
Ensures all testing protocols are adhered to.
Investigates and defines requirements for business processes.
Works with managers and relevant users on feasibility studies and establishing business and systems requirements.
Formulates strategies and guidelines to improve the business environment.
Analyses system or business processes to determine problems, risks and opportunities for improvement.
Facilitates the implementation of new or enhanced processes.
Reviews processes and conducts process audits, as required.
Provides support and facilitates sessions for end users.
Ability to comprehend information in verbal and written communication.
Ability to operate in a highly pressured and ambiguous environment.
Ability to build and maintain a healthy, collaborative and productive team culture.
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills to foster collaboration across teams.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams toward common goals.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Education requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant tertiary qualification
Relevant Business Analysis certification
Relevant Agile certification
5+ years’ experience in Business Analysis
3+ years’ working experience in an Agile or SAFe environment.
