MISSION STATEMENT

To prepare students for the world of agriculture by forming a lifelong fraternity which will provide support to and aid in the progress of the careers of its members as well as help them aid in and drive the progress of the industry. To help add to or expand the rich learning experience provided by Elsenberg to help students create, innovate, collaborate, and generate ideas whic

h will change the landscape of the farming industry in South Africa as well as the rest of the world

PURPOSE

-To inspire students to solve industry problems, to establish strong relations between the student, institution and the industry.
-To research and develop new and innovative ideas and solutions for the agricultural sector, including more efficient, sustainable farming practices.
-To promote agriculture as an exciting and rewarding career path among local and international youth.
-To forge strong mutually beneficial bonds with other students, institutions, industry professionals and the many enterprises which contribute to the agricultural sector, whether directly or indirectly. VISION

-To gain recognition as a key contributor to the future of the agricultural industry.
-To develop an organization which is synonymous with the concepts and values of innovation and excellence.
-To provide a platform for students to build networks with other industry professionals and leave their impression on the agricultural industry.

On the 14th of October 2017, the YAA Elsenburg branch together with the association's management team conducted a site evaluation of our community assistance project in a rural town along the west coast called Mamre, in conjunction with the Mamre Groenekloof Agri-Co-Op ,This is one of our major projects as we provide production assistance and conduct research across the 1200 ha of land in possession of small scale farmers in the area.
