Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor with strong administrative capabilities to support our project teams. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, develop technically, and grow into a more senior role over time.
The successful candidate will assist with general project administration, cost management, documentation and reporting while gaining hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Strong Admin Support to Management
β’ Assist with tracking project costs, variations, and expenditure
β’ Help prepare payment certificates, progress claims, and cost reports
β’ Maintain accurate records of materials, labour, and subcontractor costs
β’ Maintain organised project files, contracts, and cost documentation
β’ Capture data accurately and update spreadsheets and internal systems
β’ Assist with procurement administration (RFQs, supplier comparisons, records)
β’ Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and basic commercial summaries
β’ Coordinate documentation between site teams, suppliers, and management
β’ Work closely with senior team members
β’ Take ownership of tasks with increasing responsibility as skills grow
Minimum Requirements
β’ Tertiary Education
β’ 3-5 yearsβ experience
β’ Strong administrative and organisational skills
β’ Good numerical ability and attention to detail
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic reporting tools
β’ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
β’ Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
β’ Willingness to learn and grow within the role
β’ Professional, reliable, and proactive attitude
