When we slow down enough to notice, something shifts.
Ideas soften and widen. New connections happen. We feel that elusive freshness that comes with brave change and flow.
Energy gathers instead of scattering.

A few seats.
A few poems.

Space between them.
Unhurried conversation.
Room to pay attention again.
With tea and dark chocolate.

Frontline customer service can be emotionally challenging, dealing with people's various moods and expectations while remaining pleasantly responsive to it all. Yet not many companies invest in supporting the emotional resilience and social team dynamics of their frontline teams.

This week as I got to work with groups of beauticians from Sorbet Group. We moved. We laughed. We listened. We shared. We painted mugs for each other. There was poetry. And presence. Craft. And connection.

Team-building sounds so trite so I will quote one of the delegates: "I am so grateful for this amazing day 🙏 for investing in me, filling my cup with keys of knowledge and power. " Another said: "It was so beautiful words can't express. It's truly an honor to be part of this community."

What stayed with me most was the tenderness and the eventual softening these women brought into the circle. Here’s the poem we started the day with.

Been thinking a lot about 'moral compromise' and how vigilant one needs to be. We don't suddenly wake up morally corrupt; instead, it's a slow process where small, seemingly harmless choices accumulate over time. Each choice might be rationalized as practical or necessary, but collectively they lead one down a path you might never have consciously chosen. So remain vigilant in your daily decisions and the principles you might be compromising, as these small betrayals, seemingly insignificant in and of themselves, can ultimately shape who you become.
