By creating a community owned service. This allows community members to partake in keeping 'their' service safe and functional. This includes responding to scenes first and keeping them safe before the police and the service arrive.

Did you know; Site C, Nyanga, Gugulethu, New Crossroads and Phillipi (just a few, relevant to you) are marked RED ZONES by Emergency Medical Services (ambulances)? This means they(ambulances) cannot go into those areas between 6pm and 6am without police escorts, delaying service to the critically ill/ dying.
