With over two decades of hands-on experience across the full HR value chain, Shelley brings an exceptional blend of strategic insight, operational know-how, and people-centred leadership to every engagement. Her HR career spans 24 years of transforming workplaces, building resilient teams, and navigating complex labour landscapes in South Africa and beyond.
Shelley’s leadership journey includes managing the HR team on one of South Africa’s largest infrastructure undertakings, the Medupi Power Station Project, and serving as Group HR Manager for a prominent Irish-owned group operating locally. These roles honed her ability to steer organisational transformation with confidence and integrity.
Shelley's versatility is reflected in her ability to deliver across critical HR disciplines:
Industrial Relations: Skilled in disciplinary enquiries, union negotiations, salary review processes, and conflict resolution.
Organisational Design: Implementing job specifications, drafting and implementing policies and procedures, and drafting Key Performance Indicators to optimise business efficiency.
Recruitment Strategy: Proven success recruiting across FMCG, engineering, and construction sectors, with experience leading both agency and in-house teams.
Payroll Management: Former Payroll Manager for financial services and engineering companies, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and employee satisfaction.
Shelley holds an Honours Degree in Psychology and is a Registered Counsellor with The Counselling Association of South Africa, merging analytical acumen with deep emotional intelligence to support holistic employee wellbeing.
