Reports to: Training Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Learning Facilitator to support the delivery of youth training programmes and create engaging, practical learning experiences that help learners successfully complete their programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facilitate training according to approved curricula and lesson plans
• Deliver engaging, practical and learner-centred sessions
• Support learners with academic, practical and workplace-readiness development
• Monitor attendance, participation and learner progress
• Conduct and mark assessments
• Maintain accurate learner and assessment records
• Prepare training materials and activities
• Provide feedback on learner progress and programme challenges
• Support quality assurance, moderation and reporting processes
• Create a positive and professional learning environment

REQUIREMENTS
Education
• Relevant qualification in Education, Training, ICT, Digital Skills or a related field
• Facilitator/trainer qualification will be advantageous

Experience
• 2–3 years’ experience in training and facilitation
• Experience working with youth, unemployed learners or community-based programmes

Advantageous
• ICT, digital skills, entrepreneurship or workplace-readiness training experience
• Experience with SETA/QCTO or other accredited training programmes
• Experience in funded youth development programmes
• Local knowledge and networks in Newcastle

KEY COMPETENCIES
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Good classroom management skills
• Computer literacy and confidence with digital learning tools
• Ability to work in Newcastle and surrounding areas

The programme aims to develop occupational competence, strengthen professional readiness, and enhance graduates’ employability by equipping them with practical workplace experience and relevant industry skills. A 24-month Graduate Internship Programme.

Stipend: R10,000 per month

What we're looking for:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working at a cattle feedlot
- Extensive cattle experience and a genuine passion for working with cattle
- Matric / Grade 12
- Animal Health qualification would be advantageous
- Excellent leadership, people and communication skills
- Computer literate with basic Excel knowledge
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Able to work effectively under pressure
