Before you hit send on that email, make sure your CV is actually attached.

Fifteen years in recruitment and you can imagine the weird and wonderful things I’ve had instead.

Wedding certificates
Legal documents
Car insurance reminders

If you do send something by mistake, don’t worry. It’ll be in safe hands. I’m sure though, you’d rather just send your CV.

Don’t underestimate the power of the ABOUT YOU section on your CV.

It’s where you share an insight into you and your world outside of your profession.

With so many hiring decisions coming down to personality and cultural fit, it should be a vital part of your CV.

Give it some personality though, talk with some passion.

Here’s something I’d include in mine… A grassroots football coach since U9’s.

Who are we?

Nathan
Nathan’s been diving headfirst into the world of signage and print recruitment for just under two years and somehow still remembers what sleep feels like.

When he’s not matching top talent with great opportunities, he’s chasing after his little boy Hudson, pretending he’s not already tired.

A Stockport County loyalist (yes, by choice), Nathan’s also a golf lover though his handicap suggests he’s more about the vibes. He’s obsessed with F1 and all things cars!

Whether you’re a candidate or a client, Nathan’s all about building real relationships, delivering results, and keeping things human along the way.

Matt founded M-TWO in 2021 (with Dave & Rob), focusing on print, packaging, and signage recruitment done properly.

With 11 years of experience, it was time to do it for himself. He is deeply involved in the industry, judging awards, mentoring emerging talent, co-hosting Jam in the Print Room, and regularly sharing insights at events.

Away from the desk, Matt’s married to Lyndsey, Dad to William, Louis & Hugo. Matt LOVES football. Season Ticket Holder, Manager of a grassroots team, and even plays, still!

He’s also a coffee snob, with a fancy coffee machine. He loves trying to perfect his flat white. Check his Instagram or LinkedIn for updates!

Lyndsey Hanley

Lyndsey is the calm after Matt’s storm. While Matt is out front making noise, Lyndsey keeps the wheels turning.

She handles the backend of the business systems, processes, policies, and making sure the database stays clean and tidy.

She is also mum to three boys (4 if you count Matt). If she ever gets five minutes to herself, she’s either working out at the gym, running (away from the chaos), reading, or enjoying a coffee she didn’t have to make.

Can we just take a second to recognise Nathan …

He’s only been with MTWO - Matching Talent With Opportunity for three months, and yesterday he passed his probation. That milestone, though, doesn’t really tell the full story.

Since joining, he’s:

• Attended the IPIA Conference
• Smashed 115% of his target
• Earned his first (of many) commission payments
• Built and managed his own client relationships
• Matched Talent With Opportunity 6 times
• Exhibited at
• Collaborated with and on Display on articles / Interviews
• Slotted into the ‘M-TWO way’ like he’s been here for years

For me, bringing Nathan into the business was a big hire. Someone I wanted to really back and invest in. He’s proved exactly why that was the right call.

He’s only 22, a young dad, and has managed to juggle family life, a new job, and the fast-paced world of recruitment like an absolute pro. The maturity and drive he’s shown so early in his career have been brilliant to see.

Now, officially, Nathan is leading the charge on growing M-TWO’s signage operation. So if you’re hiring or wanting to be hired in the signage world, whether that’s external, illuminated or architectural, he’s your guy.

Massive well done, mate. You’ve done yourself, your family and the business proud. Here’s to what’s next.
