DCFPT 501 c/3 and CartSmart USA are collaborating to give opportunities for success to under served teens in the community. In the United State 82% of teenagers between 15 and 19 have unplanned pregnancies. This significantly increases the chance that these mothers and fathers will become high school dropouts and have very little foundation for raising successful children. This can bring immediat

e reward to our communities through employment, education, self pride and ultimately through the generation of further income to assist in our continued growth. The DCFPT Food Cart Work Training program will utilized a commercial food cart to be used by the program participants to learn job skills. Because many of our clients are just teenagers they often lack the experience and training to attain employment beyond minimum wage.
