Last week, we had the pleasure of touring the historic Oakland Estate. It was beautifully decorated for Chrsitmas! Thank you to the WVU Parkersburg Foundation for being such great hosts!

Last Thursday, our annual membership drive took place at the Parkersburg Country Club, featuring Paula Tewksbury as our guest speaker, who presented on creating connections by finding common ground.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our members who donated school supplies for Lubeck Elementary at our first meeting this month. PWA President Sam Copen delivered the supplies this morning, and the school was grateful for the support.

PWA President, Sam Copen, and PWA Vice President and Public Relations Chair, Abby Campbell met Al Z. Heimers at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Williamstown this morning!

Working hard to make Alzheimer’s extinct so that kids will know a world without Alzheimer’s, the Alzheimer’s Association provides resources at www.alz.org and the toll free number 800-272-3900.

PWA September Meeting: Signature Flavors & Fresh Connections!

Welcome back! After our summer break, we kicked off the season yesterday with an evening of delicious food and great company. Members entered into our first Signature Flavors competition and all recipes will be added into the next edition of the newsletter. Newcomer Tatiana won with her Pollo Guisado. We also collected supplies for Lubeck Elementary.
