I still remember starting these classes back in 2019, hoping I could get just 3 students to sign up. Three students. That was all I was hoping for at the time. Just enough to make ends meet while doing something I believed in: teaching people what I knew about safety, success, and creating better opportunities for themselves.
My first class had 7 students. Then 9. Then 14. Then 29.
And the rest is history.
Today, nearly 7 years later, Safety Builders is approaching 5,000 students trained.
Sometimes I look back and think about how far we’ve come. What started as a simple goal of getting 3 students into a classroom has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined.
But what makes me most proud isn’t the number. It’s knowing that thousands of people trusted us with their time, money, and future. It’s seeing former students build successful careers, provide better lives for their families, and accomplish things they once thought were out of reach.
It hasn’t been easy. Not even close. There have been challenges, sacrifices, setbacks, and plenty of lessons along the way. But we kept showing up, kept improving, and kept believing in what we were building.
And none of this would have been possible without our incredible team. I am extremely grateful for the people who work alongside us every day and share our commitment to helping others succeed.
We will continue working hard to assist those pursuing lucrative careers in oil and gas, construction, and other industries. Our mission has never been just about certifications. It’s about preparing people for opportunities and helping them understand what it takes to succeed.
To every student who has chosen Safety Builders as their training guide, thank you. You have played a part in building something that started with one person hoping to fill three seats.
From hoping for 3 students to approaching 5,000.
I don’t take a single bit of it for granted.
I’m living the dream. Not because we’ve reached a great milestone, but because I get to wake up every day and continue building something I believe in.
We have accomplished a lot, but I truly believe our best years are still ahead of us.
We’re not finished. We have a lot more work to do.
