Annual Tybee Salutes Heroes to Honor Military Families occurs in November. TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. – Tybee Island, Georgia, a quaint beach town located just 20 minutes east of historic downtown Savannah, and the American Legion Tybee Post #154 will host its 2nd Annual Tybee Salutes Heroes event the weekend following Veterans Day,
Active and former military personnel are invited to bring their families

to Tybee for a weekend of quality time together at the beach. Weekend highlights include family-friendly events at the American Legion and the Tybee Salutes Heroes Parade. Event organizers encourage visitors and the community to come out for the parade and show their support for our military. Following the parade, a ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial in Memorial Park. Various Tybee accommodations are offering special rates for the weekend.
