According to the Wall Street Journal, large high tech companies are hunting for talent. As some of Silicon Valley's most promising start ups lay off workers and others freeze hiring, established companies including Apple Inc, Alphabet Inc, Google and Amazon.com are pursuing software engineers, data scientists, product designers and others. Facebook says usage has spiked during the coronavirus crisis and it is committed to policing platforms ahead of the 2020 presidential election, so it will hire more than 10,000 people this year for critical roles on its product and engineering teams. www.WSJ.com/Markets
