Do you enjoy working with computers, technology and helping others? UITS has openings for part time employment opportunities available.
The UITS team provides technology support to the students, faculty and staff of IU South Bend.
Part time opportunities are available for customer service in the Support Center, computer installs and software updates are part of the Endpoint Management team, along with technology maintenance in the classrooms, conference rooms and various administrative spaces.
Experience with computers, projectors and hand tools is preferred for some areas and training will be provided to those interested.
Selected candidates can earn $10 - $12/hr and work a flexible schedule on campus.

Say ‘yes’ to eduroam/IU Secure certificate upgrade.

Accept the new security certificate on or after Dec. 29 when prompted.

IU’s Wi-Fi network, eduroam/IU Secure, is upgrading its security certificate. On Dec. 29, eduroam/IU Secure may prompt you to accept the Client Authentication certificate on all your wireless devices. Say “yes” to accept the certificate and stay connected.

New telecom closets in Northside Hall and University Center coming soon!

Starting the week of October 11th, construction will start on four new telecom closets. The new rooms will replace outdated and inadequate rooms.

The new telecom closets will be in the following locations:

Northside room 149A

Northside room 031A

Northside room 063

University Center room 002A

Please note that during construction there will be no disruption of any network or telephone service. In fact, all you should notice is a small construction crew on campus at these locations and maybe a little noise.

Construction of the new telecom closets is expected to be completed by the end of January 2022. We will post progress updates every couple of weeks.

CrimsonCard Drive-Thru Pickup - Aug 20 - 22

Have you submitted your photo to the CrimsonCard team and received a notice that it was approved/printed? If so you may pick up your card at one of our Drive-Thru pick-up days below:

Thursday, August 20 - 9am – 5pm
Friday, August 21 - 9am – 5pm
Saturday, August 22 - 10am – 2pm

Note: You must complete orientation to submit your photo. Here is the site for online orientation: https://iu.instructure.com/enroll/P3TWFM.

Here are instructions for AFTER orientation (or for Transfer Students/Faculty/Staff) to submit photos for approval: https://crimsoncard.iu.edu/about/submitting-photo.html.

You must be enrolled in classes to pick-up your card.
Please bring an actual form of photo identification with you – copies on cell phones are NOT acceptable.
Come to the parking lot on the south side of the Education & Arts Building (EA) - near the Library.
You will see our tent and our masked (for your protection) – but smiling faces.

If you cannot make these dates please email [email protected] or call (574)-520-5555 to schedule an appointment. Appointments will not be accepted until the week of August 24th.

In the meantime, if you simply need your card to order books, you can go to: www.crimsoncard.iu.edu and get the information needed there off your card.
