Dear Texas Child Care Leaders,
Yesterday’s launch of the Quad Agency Child Care Initiative Commission is more than a headline — it’s a long-awaited move toward fixing the fragmented systems that providers have been wrestling with for years. With TWC, HHSC, DFPS, and TEA now sitting at the same table, Texas is finally acknowledging what the field has known all along: child care can’t function with siloed guidance and inconsistent expectations.
At PrimeTeach, we’ve been preparing for this shift. Every pain point that surfaced in public testimony — staffing shortages, unpredictable compliance requirements, uneven professional development access, and the strain on small centers — lines up directly with the problems we are committed to solving.
This Commission’s work aligns with our mission in three key ways:
