Mel Robbins said it perfect - This is a great reminder that while we might not have power over every emotion that arises, we do have control over our responses.

If we focus on channeling our feelings into positive actions that align with our goals and values, we not only set a strong example for our teams but also foster a culture of resilience and proactive leadership.

🌟🎉 : Today we celebrate freedom and reflect on the significant moment in history when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their emancipation. Let’s honor this day with joy and a commitment to equality and justice for all.

🚨 Did you know:

Juneteenth marks the day, June 19, 1865, when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced the end of the Civil War, ensuring the freedom of all slaves in the state.

The period after Juneteenth is known as the ‘Scatter.’ - Undeterred by the recommendation to remain in place, many former slaves left the area during the original reading. In the following weeks formerly enslaved people left Texas in great numbers to find family members and make their way in the postbellum United States.

🎯 Celebrate:

1) Participate in local Juneteenth festivals, parades, and educational events.

2) Support Black-owned businesses and artists as a way to celebrate the culture and contributions of the African American community.

3) Reflect on the ongoing journey toward civil rights and take action by engaging in community service or advocacy work.

Let’s continue to learn, honor, and celebrate the journey toward freedom and equality. 🎉

🗣️💙 : June is dedicated to raising awareness about aphasia, a condition that affects the ability to communicate and is often caused by stroke or other brain injuries.

🚨 Did you know:

Aphasia affects over 2 million Americans, but many people have never heard of it.

It impacts the ability to speak, write, and understand language, but does not affect intelligence.

🎯 Take Action:

1) Learn about the different types of aphasia and how they affect communication.

2) Be patient and supportive when communicating with someone who has aphasia. Give them time to speak and use tools like writing or gestures to aid understanding.

3) Spread the word about aphasia to increase understanding and support. Share resources and stories to help educate others.

Let's use our voices to support those whose voices are affected. Encourage acceptance, promote communication accessibility, and push for better care and research. 💙

👔💙 : Today, we celebrate the incredible dads, granddads, and father figures who have guided, supported, and inspired us. Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing fathers out there!

🚨 Did you know:

Father's Day was first celebrated in 1910, inspired by the success of Mother's Day.
Dads play a crucial role in a child’s emotional well-being. Their love and support are key ingredients in childhood development.

🎯 Celebrate:

Spend some quality time with your dad or a father figure in your life. Whether it’s a game, a meal, or simply a conversation, make the day memorable.

Share a story or a photo of a special moment with your dad on social media to honor him.

If your dad has passed away or if you’re unable to be with him, consider honoring him by doing something he loved or donating to a charity he cared about.

Let’s show our appreciation for the dads who have made a lasting impact on our lives! 💙

🧠💜 : June is dedicated to increasing awareness about Alzheimer's disease and other brain health issues. Let's work together to support those affected and advance the pursuit of prevention and treatment.

🚨 Did you know:

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia among older adults and affects millions of families worldwide.

Early symptoms include difficulty remembering recent conversations, names, or events. Awareness and early diagnosis can make a significant difference in management and care.

🎯 Take Action:

1) Wear purple this month to show your support and raise awareness.

2) Educate yourself about Alzheimer's and brain health. Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to understanding and advocating for those affected.

3) Support Alzheimer's research and organizations that provide care and services for patients and their families.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those touched by Alzheimer’s and other brain conditions. 💜

🌟💚 : This June, let’s shine a light on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and support those who are coping with this challenging condition.

🚨 Did you know:

PTSD can occur after someone experiences or witnesses a traumatic event. This condition affects not just combat veterans but anyone who has gone through severe stress or trauma.

Symptoms can include flashbacks, severe anxiety, uncontrollable thoughts about the event, and emotional numbness.

🎯 Take Action:

1) Educate yourself and others about PTSD. Greater understanding can lead to more compassion and less stigma.

2) Reach out to those who may be struggling. A simple act of kindness can be a significant support.

3) Support and advocate for effective treatment options and mental health resources in your community.

We stand with all those facing PTSD. Let’s offer our support and encourage those affected to seek help. 💚
