JAW MOTORSPORTS vision for 2014& beyond with addition of first official sponsor Larry J Mitsubishi is to give back through racing & help find cure 4 cancer

With the 2014 race season now underway and a good clean run april 5th and a not so great run on the 13th but a run none the less, the wheels are in motion for our vision for JAW Motorsports in 2014 and beyond. With the adddition of first offical sponsor, Larry J Mitsubishi, to JAW Motorsports it has enable us to put our vision into action and give back through racing. Like most people do both my

immediate and extended family donate every year to good causes. This year we here at JAW Motorsports are going to donate 10% of all our race winnings and donations we receive towards racing and merchandise sold to Susan B. komen cancer research org. And possibly St. Jude's childrens hospital (TBD) in memory of my mom Elaine Winderl who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2009 and all those affected by cancer. In conjunction with that Jenn and i will be matching percentage, Keith who is general manager/owner of Larry J. Mitsubishi has agreed to match a percentage of our season end total. As you can imagine it cost alot of not only time but money for me to race each year. With fuel and entry fees costing between $100-120 a night we're still seeking help from anyone who can help out in any way big or small, as your donation will be put to good use. I have worked on this racing deal mostly on my own with very little outside help ( those that have helpedus i'am totaly grateful for your help & support ) and plan to continue racing as much as possible but will need some of your help along the way!!! If you would like to help us follow my dream of dream of racing and make our season end total as high as possible we accept cash,checks or manpower payable to JAW Motorsports or if know anyone that would be interested in particpating as one of our sponsor would be great!!! Pleas remember your not just supporting us but a good cause in memory of not only my mom but all people affected by cancer!!! For any donation received JAW motorsports will set up a personal internal account system with you in which once your account reaches a $200 balance we will put your name on the car under our special thanks section and you'll receive some sort of thank you package from us.(TBD)
If ones account total reaches $800 at any point over my racing career we will add your name to a LONGTIME SUPPORTERS OF THE CAUSE section on the car.
1 donation a season must be made to keep ones account active

Well we busted our tails last night and today putting engine back in and broke it in 2:00 this morning to make races tonight to test everything out before next weekend but had couple issues when went to load into trailer so back into the shop to get it right.
Side note Engine sounds like it should now!!!

Another year of racing is in the books and for the 3rd straight year i came home with another solid 3rd place finish in the final standings in one of thee hardest most competitive division in the Carolina’s.

I was utterly surprised with this year’s Sportsmanship of the year award!!
Thank you to the track staff, fans and fellow competitors for this award and acknowledgment of our commitment and dedication week in and week out!! There is a lot of behind the scenes work, a lot of time away from family and late nights / early mornings put into keeping a race car operational throughout the year and being honored with this award is very much appreciated!
None of this would be possible without the support of family, friends and our sponsors so this award is as much yours as it is mine!!
Congratulations to Jimbo Baker this year’s champion and Jason Gulledge runner up.
Again Thank you and we will see everyone in a few weeks when we kick off the 2025 racing season.

3 days of dedication and a lot of sweat put into the 83w machine after last weekends engine blow. Even with power outages last night didn’t stop us from getting the car ready for round 2 of River Wars and final points race at LMS for 2024.

Race report 8/24
The Phillip Knight Memorial race was on tap for the racing action last night at LMS. 97 cars in total signed in to try their luck on the big 1/2 mile.
As for myself, it wasn’t the night I was hoping for especially this close to the end of the season. Qualified 15 out of 19 car for my division, which would have me lined up 7th for my heat race. The track itself was in way better shape and fast. I ended up finishing 5th.
That had me starting the main event in the 10th. On the start of the race I was able to gain a couple of spots and was holding my own. Had a good battle for about 3 laps with the fast #4 of Hinson who was making his way to the front after having to start in the rear. On lap 7 the engine decided it had enough and something broke internally and ended my night with a 16th place finish.
With only 1 points race left and double points to boot I am only holding a 22 point lead for 3rd place over the Gambler.
Time to try and pull a rabbit out of my you know what somehow and come up with another engine to finish the season on.

Doing our normal Friday night/ Saturday morning ritual, On the hunt for a little speed if there is any to find in the ol girl for tonight’s Phillip Knight Memorial race.

6/13 & 6/20 racing report
The shrine race was on the card for 6/13 in which even though had a good number of entries for this event and I started the main event 11th, I was able to come home with a 6th place finish.
After spending the week going through car and doing some setup changes it was back to a regular Saturday night points race on the 20th.

6/20
Drew a 10 on the night, which would have me starting p1 in my heat race and i was able to finish 3rd.
Onto our main event I started 6th and was up to 4th with pretty good distance back to the 5th place running car when a caution came out with 4 to go. On the restart i had a good run going holding off the 1s machine on first lap, but missed my mark getting into 1 which allowed the 1s to get a run along side me going down the backstretch. We were door to door coming into 3 me on the outside the 1s on the inside and the 1s made contact to my left side and he was able to get on by.
Ended the night with a 5th place finish.
I am currently sitting 3rd in points 2 races behind 1st and 2nd. Up next is the Phillip Knight Memorial race in 2 weeks.
