Today’s is Emma Noble, a junior from Chi Omega!
“In my field of Data Science, it’s very hard to find a supportive community of women. Recruitment allowed me to find my people!
I’ve gained so many friend since this community is small on campus. Every semester we get new members so it’s a fresh round of faces all the time, and allows me to form new relationships frequently.
This semester we had a movie night on the floor and we watched Mamma Mia. This was the first time some of the new members were present and hanging out casually with the chapter, so the first few minutes or so were sort of awkward - people feeling out the vibes. The then someone made a joke and everyone started laughing and it felt like this huge weight was taken off of us because we scooted closer to each other on the couch to hear each other make side conversations. It felt so natural, and I can’t wait to continue making memories like those!”
