October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and October 13th is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day 🌸

Breast Cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide, and this month is dedicated to helping raise awareness, encourage early detection, and support for those whose lives have been affected by the disease. This includes:

🤍 Educating people about early warning signs
🤍 Encouraging regular checks and screenings
🤍 Honoring survivors, those currently navigating a diagnosis, and those who have lost their lives to breast cancer
🤍 Fundraising for support and research organizations

This month and every month, it's important to honor those around us who have fought breast cancer, and to do all that we can to raise awareness, educate ourselves, and work towards improved access to screening for all 🩷

At Hallmark Homecare of North Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, we are proud supporters of Kiran, a North Carolina nonprofit committed to empowering domestic violence victims and survivors within the local South Asian community. With a focus on culturally specific services and comprehensive resources, Kiran is on a mission to help end the cycle of abuse.

Today we honor World Alzheimer’s Day and the millions of individuals and their families Alzheimer's has affected 💜

Last week, our team attended The CART Fund x Rotary Club of North Raleigh benefit night, where we saw so many great community members come together to raise money for this incredible cause.

As homecare matchmakers, we see firsthand the profound effect that Alzheimer’s can have, and endeavor to meet all families with grace, compassion, and understanding of this unique condition.

In the words of Hallmark Homecare of North Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill’s owner, Tim Leow, who chairs the 2026 Triangle Walk to End Alzheimer’s, “On World Alzheimer’s Day, we owe every family more than awareness: we owe them dignity, support, and an unwavering commitment to finding a cure.
