Friends of the Port O'Connor Library, Inc. Our organization is dedicated to enhancing library facilities, services and resources.

The purpose of Friends members shall be to focus public attention on library services, facilities and needs and to encourage donations, gifts, endowments, and bequests to the library stimulating increased usage and enhancement of library resources, facility and services, and thus enriching the lives of the local community.

Coffee and Conversation hosted by Calhoun County Public Library, treats by our community, Bingo hosted by Trinity Shores of Port Lavaca, Loteria hosted by an anonymous donor and the Claiborne Family. Fresh eggs for Loteria donated by Robbie and Marie Hawes. Thank you to all!!

Hey everyone. We are so excited to finally show off the incredible progress on the library expansion project. This new addition adds 2,400 square feet of space to our facility, and we truly couldn’t have done it without you.
A massive thank you to our entire community for your generous donations and for supporting the Friends' endeavors. Because of your help, we have the needed extra room for more shelving, books and seating, and more space for our children to learn, play, and grow.
Looking ahead, we are also thrilled to announce that this expansion will house our Library of Things, providing even more unique resources for everyone to share. We are so proud of what we’ve built together—thank you for being part of this journey!
