Bangladeshi Americans For Democracy Serving our community by exchanging information on Main stream politics, candidate recruitment and t Bangladeshis vote is known to many.

“Bangladeshi Americans for Democracy (BAD)” formerly known as “Team Bangladesh for Democracy” has been serving our community by exchanging information on election, candidate selection, fundraising for candidates, get out the vote activities, etc. (Including, team members have used it for other community activities). It has ran its course successfully by encouraging Bangladeshis to grasp the impor

tance democracy, mass voter registration, taking time to cast vote, campaigning, door knocking, phone banking, braving to run for offices, encouraging others to get involved in election. It also earned the reputation of Bangladeshis believe in democracy by the non- Bangladeshi community. With this renewed organization, in addition to our current activities we will extend our membership to other Bangladeshi American populous states, focus on direct involvement in (Bangladeshi) candidate recruitment and training, and support national agenda like campaign finance reform for fair and sustainable democracy. And, if and when the new organization attains certain strength to support a Political Action Committee, we will consider that too.

In celebration of 50 years of Bangladesh Independence, the Upper Darby Township of Pennsylvania honored Dr. Fatema Ahmad and Abu Amin Rahman for their contributions to Delaware County and greater Philadelphia. Dr. Ahmad has been the go-to doctor for immigrants in the area for the last three decades. Dr. Fatema is the wife of Dr. Ziuddin Ahmed.
Abu Rahman was honored for his community service in Delaware County and Greater Philadelphia areas. His significant contribution was to bring the Bangladeshi community closer to American democracy. For his efforts the Bangladeshi - Americans are actively involved in local government in Melbourne and Upper Darby townships and holding elected offices. Congratulations to both of them.

আচ্ছালামু আলাইকুম/ আদাব।
আলহামদুলিল্লাহ।সর্বশেষ খবর অনুযায়ী আজ প্রায় ১০৭ জন বাংলাদেশী ভাই/বোনেরা কনভেনশন সেন্টারে টীকা দিয়েছেন। যারা টীকা দিয়েছেন আমাদের জানা মতে এখন কারো কোন পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়া হয় নাই। সবাই সুস্হ আছেন। এদের মধ্য নর্থইষ্ট, সেন্টার সিটি, বেনসালাম, আপারডাবী এবং মেলবার্নের অনেকেই আছেন।
এছাড়া ও আমাদের টীম আরো প্রায় ৪৫০ জন রেজিস্টার করেছেন আগামীকাল এবং শুক্রবারের জন্য ।আমাদের বেশ কয়েকজন বন্ধু রেজিষ্টেশন করার জন্য দিনরাত
কাজ করে যাচ্ছেন।
যারা আমাদেরকে রেজিস্টেশন করার জন্য সহযোগিতা করেছেন তাদেরকে ধন্যবাদ জানাই এবং দোয়া রইল।
বি:দ্র: আমি ব্যাক্তিগতভাবে সরেজমিনে কনভেনশন সেন্টারে গিয়েছিলাম। সেইখানে আমাদের অনেকেই পেয়েছি যারা টীকা দিয়েছেন। এমন কি অনেকেই উনাদের ছোট ছোট বাচ্চাদেরকে সাথে নিয়ে এসেছিলেন যা আমার কাছে ভালো লেগেছে।

No words can express my feeling of the breaking news – Joe Biden is our next 46th president. A sigh of relief that we don’t have to worry about our Masjid or we are Muslim or we are Brown, we are Immigrant.

I don’t have to worry about what kind of country we will leave behind when we will be gone.

I don’t have to think about going back to Bangladesh after living 46 years in America

We are on the right side of the history. We did whatever we had to do.

I can’t thank enough to Allah (swt) for giving us this victory and I can not thank you enough for giving me an opportunity to work you in Biden’s campaign.
