**Responsibilities and Duties**
We are looking for an Assistant Teacher who will do the following job duties.
1) Supervising and caring for a specific age group of children ages 1-5 years old in a Licensed child care center.
2.Providing a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
3) Attend to children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers.
4) Teach basic skills such as colors, shapes, numbers and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills.
5) Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.
6) Read books to entire classes or small groups.
7) Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
8) Creating weekly lesson plans and activities for children.
**Qualifications and Skills**
* MUST HAVE ALL CLEARANCES ( Criminal background, FBI Clearance, Child Abuse, Mandated Reporter, NSOR)
* Health Assessment / TB shot
* Two Professional References
* CDA/ Associate Degree ( Degree preferred)
