In the spring's embrace where flowers bloom,
Comes a tale beyond the tomb.
An ancient story, reborn each year,
In pastel shades, Easter's here.
From pagan roots of olden days,
Where Ēostre was the goddess praised.
With eggs and hares as her befitting sign,
To symbolize new life, divine.
Then to Passover, with its storied might,
Families gather, Seder's candlelight.
Retelling plagues and parting seas,
The strength of faith, the drive to be free.
And there's the cross, on Calvary's height,
A tale of sorrow turned to light.
For on the third day, so it's told,
The stone was rolled, the miracle unfolds.
Chocolate bunnies now do hop,
In every store and candy shop.
Kids with baskets, hunt with glee,
For hidden treasures, full of mystery.
So here's to Easter, in its many forms,
To springtime joy and heartfelt norms.
May we find peace in tales of yore,
And hope in what the future has in store.
For every egg that's brightly dyed,
Holds the universe inside.
And every springtime flower’s bloom,
Reminds us life will always resume.
As we gather ‘round our tables wide,
Let's cherish those who are by our side.
For Easter's histories, both old and new,
Remind us to love, and to life, stay true.
