The choice of the original location in the West Village and the diverse group of artists has been driven by Williams' unique trajectory in the arts and steadfast interest in contemporary art, culture, and thought. In the gallery's first six years, we endeavored to offer a compelling and intellectually rigorous program featuring emerging and mid-career international artists working in all mediums.
This included many projects outside the gallery walls including performances, film series, large-scale installations, curatorial projects, and lectures. The gallery's new location in the heart of New York's Chelsea district opened in May 2010. The gallery remains focused on exhibiting and building the careers globally for a group of national and international artists, both emerging and mid-career. Williams work experience includes time at the major auction houses, Christie's and Sotheby's, as well as commercial galleries in New York and Paris. She also applies the knowledge and networks accrued over the course of her career to personal art advising.
