Why Counter-Offers Never End Well..

Research cited by multiple sources indicates that around 52% of employees who accept a counteroffer leave within six months anyway.

The same research suggests that roughly 80% of employees who accept a counteroffer leave their employer within one year.

When someone reaches the point of accepting another offer, the psychological break with the company has already happened.

The counteroffer just delays the inevitable departure.
