Here's a weekend challenge: How can traditionally underserved populations get better access to opportunity and fully participate in the digitally literate workforces of the future?

MIT Solve & ServiceNow are hosting a challenge and asking for your creative solutions. The deadline for submissions is March 2.

Here's the premise: On one hand, technology-driven innovation is eliminating jobs, squeezing wages, and requiring complete retraining across agriculture, manufacturing, the service industry, and many other sectors. This is sowing workforce disruption, fear, and anxiety.

On the other hand, technology trends are increasing productivity and safety, creating new jobs and entire industries, fostering entrepreneurship, and affording people more opportunities for higher-value tasks and creativity.

Here's the challenge: How to mitigate the worst effects of these transformations; how to accelerate and expand the opportunities afforded so that everyone—including those left behind and most marginalized—can fully participate and create prosperous livelihoods for themselves.

On Friday, the great PR legend Harold Burson, who opened Burson-Marsteller in 1953 and helped to professionalize and globalize the public relations industry, passed away.

Our founder and CEO Bill Heyman collected some of his fondest memories of Harold in a short piece on our site. It's a great read for anyone who wants a personal take on this great man who influenced so many. "What struck me as extraordinary was that this 90+ year old man was always trying to improve."
