What we're seeing in NYC high-end residential this summer😀
The phone won't stop ringing and projects are getting underway — but getting a job approved and started has become its own project. The DOB is the part everyone names, and it's real. It's also not the only queue anymore: building architect reviews have gotten heavier, co-op and condo boards are bringing in owner's reps on the client's dime, and on townhouses Landmarks runs months.
Meanwhile a good site superintendent is the most in-demand person in this market — mid-level running his own job is $130–165K, senior with a real track record is $170K+, and the most tenured clear $200K without much drama.
And we have never been busier with requisitions outside the five boroughs.
