We agree with her here. Age should not be the reason we avoid anything, If anything, our age and life experience should be leveraged whenever possible.

Take a moment today and think about how far you've come. We are all better versions of ourselves in some way. Celebrate that!

Can you relate?

Do you talk with your hands?

Do you emote?

Have you been told that your tone is aggressive or loud?

If so, you might be a New Yorker or you just need some practice.

It can be difficult to emote and maintain eye contact which can sometimes be necessary in interviews. Also, hand movements can some times be a distraction,.

For some people these quirks can be overcome with targeted practice. For others, like those who suffer from disabilities, we recommend addressing any challenges upfront and asking for accommodations.
