RU SHRM Undergraduate Chapter is a recently-formed student organization composed of fellow undergraduates who are interested in Human Resources Management. We strive to develop HRM leaders of the future while developing close relationships with other undergraduate students, RU staff, and HR professionals. full name, RUID, and netID. Upon confirmation, you will be added to the Sakai page which has all the news and announcements. What kinds of events are organized by RU SHRM Undergraduate Chapter? One of the reasons why a separate undergraduate chapter was formed was so that it can meticulously tailor its events to the undergraduates' interests and needs. Some of the events that we would like to host include: regularly held general members meetings, résumé workshops, mock interview sessions, guest speaker nights, CareerKnight workshops, and end of the year/holiday dinners. How to apply for leadership positions? RU SHRM Undergraduate Chapter will hold elections towards the middle of every spring semester. The current executive board will send out a notice; elections are open to all general members, as long as they meet the requirements for the various positions. How to become a National SHRM member? Go to the SHRM website www.shrm.org/ to become a National SHRM member. For students the membership fee is $35 per year and for working professionals it is $180 per year. We highly encourage undergraduates to join National SHRM; it contains valuable tools and information that will really help students transition into the professional world. How to RSVP for events? All RSVP for events will be done through Sakai. Please take note that space is very limited and there will be penalties for those who do not show up after RSVP'ing to attend.
