Hello MH Friends! We want to give y’all a much overdue update on the status of the brewery. (Sorry, it’s a long one.)

In total transparency, as much as we have enjoyed this business venture, the last couple of years have felt like walking through wet cement… slow and exhausting. After talking to many brewery owners, we know this is pretty normal, but we were still unprepared for how difficult opening this business would become. Throw in COVID and all that came with it, including the crazy inflation of construction/equipment costs, and our humble dream of starting a home town brewery became much more inflated and complicated.

All that being said, we are not giving up. Our passion for good craft beer and community hasn’t changed. But we do need to get back to the basics and simplify our plans. In order to do that, we have decided to release the space at the old gin. We have been completely focused on making that space work (because it is after all, an amazing location!) but sadly, it just isn’t right for Major Humphreys and we can’t spend any more resources trying to make it so.

As we begin to search for a new location in downtown Monroe, we have a much clearer vision of our specific needs. Until we find the right spot, we will shift focus back to the beer trailer and serving at special events (more info on that soon).

Lastly, we really appreciate everyone being so kind and patient. Y’all have encouraged and supported us every step of the way and that has been an incredible gift through the highs and lows of this process. (Also, If you were one of our crowdfunding sponsors, we haven’t forgotten about you! Be on the lookout for an email regarding your mug club memberships, etc.)

Monroe is truly the best small town, our town, and we can’t wait to be a more permanent part of it in the future. Cheers y’all🍻❤️

New brew alert! 🙌 No you’re not seeing things... We have had several requests for lighter options so we tried our hand at a little hard seltzer 💪 Y’all are going to love this! Especially mixed with some fresh fruit in those hot summer months.☀️🔥 🍻
