We are seeking a Profit Center Director to lead, motivate, and direct the Profit Center Organization to ensure achievement of financial targets through maximizing revenue and controlling cost. The PC Director has overall responsibility for the performance of the facility and the profit and loss of the associated product group.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the operations of the facility—address customer and supplier issues; ensure capacity
and availability of all resources including material, capital, personnel; direct quality and safety improvement efforts
• Develop and manage the business plan for the facility—lead the planning process; establish priorities; provide costs for pricing; acquire resources; ensure financial results
• Provide leadership for and development of the management team—establish priorities and accountabilities; allocate resources, guide achievement of performance measures, select, and empower functional leaders
• Participate with corporate in shaping the direction of the company and in establishing and implementing initiatives
• Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
• Manage monthly plant load ensuring all product is delivered on time, to specification and within budget
• Establish and track production metrics in order to maximize process efficiency, utilization, and throughput
• Ensures compliance of shipments and the facility with all required government regulations
• Support efforts of the Sales Team through providing accurate costs for pricing, lead times and anticipate and mitigate risk to on-time-delivery
• Manages department supervisors
• Enact policy that facilitates good order and efficient process based upon manufacturing best practices
• Implement inventory strategy to maintain at optimal levels
• Ensures efficient communication and coordination between relevant departments including procurement, quality, sales, distribution & management
• Supervises supply chain efforts & strategy
• Prepare operational schedules, and coordinate manufacturing activities, to ensure production and quality of product meets specification
• Manage all production equipment life cycles, implementing maintenance plans, and recommend modifications and replacement as required
• To the fullest extent possible manages monthly product mix to maximize profitability
• Ensures cleanliness, good order and maintenance of all areas of the shop floor
• Keeps the COO informed through weekly and monthly reporting
• Every employee is expected to complete assigned policy review, associated training, and associated acknowledgment of completion online via ADP within the communicated timelines at hire or on an annual basis as appropriate.
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Successful profit and loss experience
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of legal business climate including Sarbanes Oxley requirements
• Excellent communication skills to interact with people at all levels and in all functions inside and outside the organization
• Highly efficacious person
• Computer proficiency – intermediate level in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment; previous supervisory experience is required
• Strong team skills; ability to interact with all levels in the organization including the ability to provide advice and counsel to senior decision-makers
• Ability to quickly and accurately assess and address complex problems using creative approaches
• Demonstrated strategic thinking skills that portray the ability to conceptualize business requirements in a proactive manner

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Operations or similar field and 10+ years related
experience or 15+ years relevant Business Operations experience required
PMP preferred
