I asked the ChatGPT AI to create a stand-up comedy routine from a Youth Talent Manager. This is what it wrote:
"Hey folks, have you ever wondered what it's like to be a youth actor talent manager in Hollywood? Let me tell you, it's like trying to herd cats, but instead of cats, they're child actors and instead of herding, you're just trying to keep them from ruining their lives.
So, you got a young actor with a bright future, making big bucks and you're like, 'Wow, this kid is going places,' but then, you find out they've been hanging out with the wrong crowd, or maybe they've been partying a little too hard. And you're like, 'Oh, great. Now I gotta be the bad guy and tell them to straighten up or risk losing their big break.'
But it's not all bad, sometimes you'll come across a real gem of a kid, who's got talent and drive and you're like, 'Wow, I'm really going to make something of this one.' And then, you find out their parents are complete nightmares, and you're like, 'Great, now I gotta deal with them too.'
And don't even get me started on the parents who think their child is the next big thing, even though they've never even acted before. They're like, 'Oh, my child is going to be the next Meryl Streep,' and you're like, 'Well, maybe if Meryl Streep's career had been ruined by stage parents.'
But at the end of the day, it's all worth it when you see one of your clients make it big and you're like, 'I helped make that happen.' And then, you remember all the craziness that comes with the job, and you're like, 'Yeah, maybe I'll just stick to herding cats from now on.'
Thanks for listening, folks!"
