As I throw on my Fall sweaters, I’m remembering how this beautiful painting by CoCo Artist Nikolina K always reminds me of tropical and complements our sun-drenched family room especially during the summer. Nikolina took a photo I had taken of the breathtaking scenery at a Hindu monastery that is very special to me, and filled it up with more flora and fauna from the region. The scene, her creative magic and her one-of-a-kind painting technique produced this inspiring work of art that I never fail to stop and notice everyday. A truly collaborative effort, I am so ecstatic about how this particular painting turned out and the way it equally engaged CoCo artist Marta N, and our team. The way the colors and shapes came together was so important for this huge work of art (40x60 inches) to fill it’s resting place with the right feeling. Kudos to all!

Meet CoCo Artist EMYO

Emily studied in Italy with an impressionist master, focusing on a method passed down from the impressionist painter John Singer Sargent. Daughter of a Cuban-American, her work is perhaps drawn from those expressive roots. Her work can be found in public and private collections and has been collected in London as well.

EMYO and husband John live on a big grassy piece of land in Tennessee where their six children roam loud and wild, making all sorts of art themselves. Yes, her life resembles an Impressionist Painting; loose lively and full of color.
